As the nation's largest natural gas distribution utility, SoCalGas® delivers increasingly clean, safe and reliable energy to 21.8 million consumers through 5.9 million meters in more than 500 communities. Our service territory encompasses approximately 24,000 square miles in diverse terrain throughout Central and Southern California, from Visalia to the Mexican border. SoCalGas has served California as a responsible and engaged environmental leader, employer and neighbor for over 150 years. SoCalGas® is a regulated subsidiary of SEMPRA (NYSE: SRE), a Fortune 500 energy services holding company based in San Diego. SoCalGas® has the Distributed Energy Resources Services (DERS) Tariff which is an optional tariff for customers which allows SoCalGas® to plan, design, procure, construct, own, operate and maintain Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and Waste Heat to Power (WHP) facilities on customer premises for a monthly fee under a set term. Services that are provided under this Tariff are based upon arrangements mutually satisfactory to the host site and SoCalGas for design, location, construction, and operation of required DERS facilities.
